How do I…

Below are some frequently asked questions to help connect you to resources that will help you support your student.

Access the guest login on MyUI?

Students must first invite parents to have guest access to student information in their MyUI account. Directions are available at bit.ly/myuiguest.

Find a campus building?

The university maintains an interactive website, maps.uiowa.edu, that allows users to search for a specific building and also to filter by housing, dining, public parking, and more.

Help my student who has lost their ID?

Send your student to the UI Service Center, located above CVS in the University Capitol Centre, where they can replace an ID, pay a bill, get a transcript, and more. For details, visit uiservicecenter.uiowa.edu.

Sign up for Hawk Alerts?

Hawk Alerts are intended for students, faculty, and staff who are on campus so they can be aware of potentially dangerous incidents as they are occurring. Including other individuals has the potential to slow down the notification process. Instead, bookmark our emergency website, e.uiowa.edu, which will always have the most up-to-date information, or follow UI Police on Facebook and Twitter.

Get answers about billing or financial aid?

You can find a lot of info at ubill.fo.uiowa.edu, which includes a section of FAQs, or you may contact the University Billing Office at 319-335-0071, 800-943-4557, or ubill@uiowa.edu.

Stay informed of campus news?
